Yayın Investigating the impact of mobile telecom service characteristics on consumer satisfaction in urban Uganda(SSBFNET, 2021) Manyaga, Fawz; Hacıoğlu, Ümit; Hacıoğlu, Ümit; Yönetim Bilimleri Fakültesi, İşletme BölümüThis paper aims to examine the impact of mobile telecom service characteristics on consumer satisfaction in urban Uganda, using a Servqual model. The association between customer satisfaction level and service quality characteristics has been tested with a regression analysis. In this study, assurance as a Servqualdimension has been substituted with tariffs to exhibit its effect on customers’ satisfaction levels. Findings verified that some of the Servqual dimensions including reliability, empathy, and responsiveness have been positively affecting the customer satisfaction level in the Ugandan context. The study also demonstrated that the prices of products and services of telecom companies were not the major concerns for telecom consumers in Uganda. Specifically, a hybrid analytic model drawing on a fuzzy analytical network process and data envelopment analysis was developed and applied to the assessment of Turkish deposit banks quoted on Borsa Istanbul. The findings revealed that; (i) the efficiency results for banking activity vary for competitiveness and for the adoption of new technologies before and after the financial recession; (ii) the majority of deposit banks operating primarily with non-interest based factors found to be less-efficient; (iii) the ownership and capital structure of banks do not significantly contribute to their banking performance, as they were technically inefficient during the same period; and (iv) the inputs of the banking activities could be reduced while a constant level of output is maintained by adopting and properly using the most efficient technology to boost the technical efficiency.Yayın Multidimensional analysis of investment priorities for circular economy with Quantum Spherical Fuzzy Hybrid Modeling(World Scientific Publishing, 2024) Dinçer, Hasan; Yüksel, Serhat; Hacıoğlu, Ümit; Erdebilli, Babek; Hacıoğlu, Ümit; Yönetim Bilimleri Fakültesi, İşletme BölümüCircular economy aims recycling in the production process instead of destroying the products. With the help of this situation, waste can be considered in the remanufacturing process so that the rate of consumption of natural resources can be decreased. It is necessary to focus on certain investment issues to achieve a circular economy, but all investments have some risks. Hence, the economies should make priority analysis to take efficient actions. Investment priorities are identified to have circular economy. A novel fuzzy decision-making model has been created for this purpose. In the first stage, balanced scorecard criteria are evaluated with the help of multi stepwise weight assessment ratio analysis (M-SWARA). Later, the multidimensional investment priorities of circular economy are ranked. In this context, elimination and choice translating reality (ELECTRE) approach is taken into consideration. The main contribution of the paper is that a new methodology is created by the name of M-SWARA. Owing to these new improvements, cause and effect relationship among the items can be analyzed. It is identified that financial issues play the most crucial role for investments to improve circular economy. On the other side, it is also concluded that remanufacturing is the most significant investment alternative to develop circular economy. For the sustainability of the investment to improve circular economy, necessary financial analysis should be performed. With the help of this situation, these substances can be reintroduced into the production process in the form of raw materials. In this context, the alternative sources of hybrid RWB system are examined to illustrate the impact-relation directions among them with multi SWARA based on q-ROFs and golden cut. Next, the performances of renewable alternatives are measured in terms of the synergy of coalition with game theory and Shapley value. It is concluded that solar energy is the most suitable RWB alternative for synergy to increase efficiency in investments. However, biomass does not have a significant influence on providing synergy in energy investments. Therefore, solar energy should be prioritized for hybrid energy investments. Especially with the effect of technological developments, the efficiency of solar energy investments increases significantly. Thus, solar energy investments have become quite suitable for increasing the synergy in hybrid energy projects. Despite repeated efforts to address this issue, the journal remains unresponsive. This letter announces our intention to publish an exposé article, meticulously uncovering the fraudulent practices of the journal and its publisher. A subsequent public statement aims to warn the academic community about the deceptive nature of the "Global International Journal of Innovative Research" and emphasizes the collective responsibility of scholars to uphold ethical publishing standards. Firstly, key determinants of the performance of solar energy investments are evaluated by DEMATEL method with the 2-tuple IVIF sets. Moreover, the cell material alternatives for solar module investments are also ranked. For this purpose, an evaluation has been made by 2-tuple IVIF TOPSIS. The contributions of the paper are performing a priority analysis to understand the most significant factors to increase solar energy projects and creating an original model by the integration of DEMATEL and TOPSIS with the 2- tuple IVIF sets. The findings denote that crystalline silicon is the optimal solar panel module to increase the performance of these projects. In the short term, government subsidies can provide cost advantages to solar energy investors. It is not a very continuous practice to try to increase these projects only with government supports. The costs of solar energy projects should be reduced to solve this problem permanently. However, selecting the appropriate investment remains the most critical phase in developing these technologies. This study aims to design a multi-criteria decision-making method (MCDM) to evaluate investment alternatives for microgeneration energy technologies. The proposed MCDM is based on a Multi Stepwise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis (M-SWARA), to define the relative importance of the factors. The Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) and q-Rung Orthopair Fuzzy Soft Sets (q-ROFSs) are used to rank investment alternatives. Calculations were also made with Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets (IFSs) and Pythagorean Fuzzy Sets (PFSs). For analysis, five evaluation criteria were selected based on the literature: frequency of maintenance, ease of installation, environmental adaptation, transmission technologies, and efficiency of cost. Similarly, six alternatives for microgeneration technology investments were selected: ground source heat pumps, micro hydroelectric power, micro combined heat and power, micro bioelectrochemical fuel cell systems, small-scale wind turbines, and photovoltaic systems. The results showed that cost efficiency was the most significant factor in the effectiveness of microgeneration energy investments, and the photovoltaic system was the best alternative to increase microgeneration energy technology investment performance. Furthermore, the results were the same for the analyses made with IFSs and PFSs, demonstrating the reliability of the proposed method. Therefore, investors in microgeneration technologies should prioritize photovoltaic systems. However, environmental priorities should be examined for this situation. Therefore, priority analysis should be executed for the environmental issues while implementing green investment projects. Accordingly, this study aims at proposing a unique decision-making model based on orthopair fuzzy sets and the golden cut degrees for the environmental priorities of green project investments. The main novelty of the study stems from its proposed integrated model by equipping the Multi-SWARA, and TOPSIS based on the q-ROFSs technique with the golden cut. A set of criteria is identified for measuring the green projects’ environmental priorities while several project alternatives are also determined with the supporting literature. Appropriately, the extensions of Multi-SWARA and TOPSIS methods have been applied for weighting and ranking the factors, respectively, in the integrated approach. Additionally, a comparative evaluation is performed with the help of VIKOR method to rank the alternatives. Besides, the sensitivity analysis is applied to illustrate the coherency of the weighting results in the decision-making approach. Accordingly, 5 cases are considered to measure the effects of changing weight results. It is defined that this model is coherent and could be extended for further studies. It is concluded that the reduction of emissions is the most essential item for the environmental priorities of green project investments. Pollution control, waste management and eco-friendly transportation activities are the most critical alternatives. Therefore, this study recommends that investors of green projects should prioritize the strategies of minimizing carbon emissions problem. Due to the increasing trend of taking out private sustainable health insurance, the number of private sustainable health insurance plans in the health insurance market has increased significantly. Therefore, people may be confronted by a wide range of private health insurance plan options. However, there is limited information about how people analyze private health insurance policies to protect their health in terms of benefit payouts as a result of illness or accident. Thus, the objective of this study is to provide a model to aid people in evaluating various plans and selecting the most appropriate one to provide the best healthcare environment. In this study, a hybrid fuzzy Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) method is suggested for the selection of health insurance plans. Because of the variety of insurance firms and the uncertainties associated with the various coverages they provide, q-level fuzzy set-based decision-making techniques have been chosen. In this study, the problem of choosing private health insurance was handled by considering a case study of evaluations of five alternative insurance companies made by expert decision makers in line with the determined criteria. After assessments by expert decision makers, policy choices were compared using the Q-Rung Orthopair Fuzzy (Q-ROF) sets Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) and Q-ROF VIšeKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR) methods. This is one of the first attempts to solve private health policy selection under imprecise information by applying Q-ROF TOPSIS and Q-ROF VIKOR methods. At the end of the case study, the experimental results are evaluated by sensitivity analysis to determine the robustness and reliability of the obtained results.Yayın Balanced scorecard-based performance assessment of Turkish banking sector with the Analytic Network Process (ANP)(SSBFNET, 2020) Dinçer, Hasan; Hacıoğlu, Ümit; Yüksel, Serhat; Hacıoğlu, Ümit; Yönetim Bilimleri Fakültesi, İşletme BölümüIn the last decade, Performance assessment of banking sectors in advanced economies became a prominent issue investment decision. This paper aims to evaluate the balanced-scorecard-based performance of the Turkish banking sector using the Analytic Network Process Approach. Within this scope, all 33 deposit banks were intended to analyze out of 34 banks. Within this scope, we made an analysis in order to determine which perspectives of the balanced scorecard approach are appropriate for each type of bank (state banks, private banks, foreign banks). In this study, we used Analytic Network Process (ANP) approaches so as to achieve this objective. With a balanced-scorecard performance assessment of the banking sector using the ANP approach, all the factor priorities have been extracted and normalized to one for each cluster and final priorities have been obtained. The final priorities and rankings of each perspective of the balanced scorecard and the type of bank ownership have been assessed in the model. According to the results of the analysis, Findings demonstrate that (i) financial factor of balanced scorecard approach has the first rank with 65.7 percent; (ii) Customer perceptive is in the second rank with 22.1 percent. (iii)Third and fourth ranks have close results, (iv) learning and growth stay in the third rank with 6.3 percent (v) internal factor has the weakest importance with 5.9%, (vi) state banks into bank ownership have the highest rank with 53.9 percent, (vii) Private owned banks are the second in the relative performance of the bank groups with 36.1%, (viii) Balanced scorecard based performance of foreign banks are replaced in the last order with approximately 10%.
